noground processes has always released music in a variety of forms. In the early days it was through cassette tape recordings, to self released cdr and dvd-r releases. In 2003 Dan decided to take this a bit further by setting up noground-r, This was (and still is) a record label putting out short run cdr and dvdr releases. The reason Dan set this up was to promote his own music and the music of friends and people he came across and thought the world should listen to.

In 2007 Dan decided to stop releasing records via noground-r on a regular basis because of the time it consumed unfortunately.

In 2009 Dan decided to make some of the releases of noground-r free and turn noground-r into a label that releases free via the web.
